Joanne Odisho is a Melbourne-based designer whose practice explores the relationship between material, environment and everyday life. Grounded in sustainable design, her work focuses on transforming waste and overlooked materials into functional objects that encourage a more considered approach to consumption.
With a background in interior and furniture design, Odisho brings an understanding of space, form and human interaction to her practice. She combines material experimentation with thoughtful craftsmanship, often working with reclaimed and biodegradable materials to develop objects that are both tactile and visually distinctive.
Inspired by architecture, nature and cultural heritage, her work challenges conventional ideas of what materials can become, while inviting a deeper awareness of the origins and lifecycle of the objects we live with.
